Headlines And Bullet Points On Your eBook Sales Page
So I'm guessing that you want to sell ebooks online, but you don't how to "convince" people to buy. Well, if you already have a product that you've created, and it's actually in a really good niche - but you don't know how to write the words on a webpage to get them to order... then you need a quick copywriting lesson.
There are so many people and websites online that you can learn copywriting from, but the information is so vast and diverse, so it kind of makes it hard to understand and absorb all of the information that you have learned. So to make it easy for you, I will go over some of the core strategies that you need to know if you want to make your ebook sales page a success. Here's the first thing that you need to know about:
1) Your headline is essential
A headline is the very first thing that somebody will see on your site when they visit it. Your headline can either make or break the success of your site. Take a good look at your website. Is it boring? Does it make people want to learn more and explore your site? Is there a simple "mission statement" at the top of the page? Do you use words like, "we care", "quality", "number 1", and etc?
If so, then you need to change your headline and actually turn it into something that your visitor will immediately understand. They just want to know what you can offer them. If they don't immediately get the sense that your site is a place where there is helpful information... then they will just leave. But you can essentially eliminate this part of the process with a great headline that tells them what's in it for them. Here's another copywriting technique that you will want to use on your ebook sales page:
2) Lots of bullet points
A bullet point is simply a piece of information in the body of your sales page that describes everything that your ebook will teach your reader. And the more bullet points that you have, the better. More bullet points will give the perception that you offer a lot of valuable content in your ebook that can possibly be of supreme importance for them.
It's not hard to write bullet points. Just think of them as mini headlines. You will want to make them enticing though. Don't create a bullet point that says:"How to save money on your next laptop purchase"
NO. Instead, say something like:"Learn 4 little-known secrets that electronics companies don't want you to know because they want to fatten their pockets by giving you the most expensive laptop as possible... and how to do your homework before you buy."
Obviously the second one sounds more enticing. It's just an example, but you have to sell your ebook in the same way when it comes to your bullet points. This and the headline is what will tell your reader what's in it for them. So keep this in mind.Good luck with writing good sales copy for your ebook sales page.
